I’m not alright
I’m broken inside
As the pain cracks the thick walls
Banishing the light
Letting darkness seep inside

My hearts broken in two
Forever broken
As the tears I cry
Slip through the cracks
Escaping reality
I am not alright

My heart has gone numb
Frozen in time
Icy to the touch
Unable to feel
Even the simplest emotions
Unable to understand
The hardships of life

My life shrinks, into a ball
It rolls away
Far away
From the tiny fingers that reach out
Trying to save
The life that’s slipping away
